No. The problem is that all of this is just accusation. There has not been any defentive "proof" of anything. There are alot of interesting pieces of evidence and even more wild theories but simply no proof and that is where the problem lies. When a politician dips his toe in the eligbility pool, then the media asks them to explain their reasons for doubt. Not one of them has done anything to prove their reasons for doubt and typically refer to "others" or the "internet" for their evidence and they come off as looking foolish. This is not the fault of the media. This is the fault of those who pursue these conspiracy theories without benefit of evidence or proof.
If you are a public figure and and plan on using the eligibility issue as your argument against Obama, then you better be backed up with at least some talking points or know some of the evidence that is out there. To say, "there is convincing evidence on the internet," or "some people are saying," then you shoud expect to get laughed at and ridiculed.

Are we really serious here, "media ridicule"? From who? Who is so revered so as to be feared in the media? Obama did NOT seal off all of his records via executive order
I posted this in another thread in HT, but this fallacy comes up so much that I wanted to address it to a more general audience. There is a false rumor going around that Executive Order 13489 "seals off all of Obama's records". Supposedly this is how Obama can seal off his school and birth records. Here's the problem. That Executive Order only affects presidential records and by the definition in the executive order, records made prior to being elected president are NOT "presidential records". People who think that either haven't read the executive order or haven't read the statute it was amending or haven't done the proper statutory analysis. Here's what I offer as proof.
The executive order in question states that the archivist must give the incumbent president notice before disclosing presidential records and must consult with the administration before releasing the presidential records of former presidents. The executive order defines "presidential records" as those defined as such in the "Presidential Records Act". From that act:
(2) The term "Presidential records" means documentary materials, or any reasonably segregable portion thereof, created or received by the President, his immediate staff, or a unit or individual of the Executive Office of the President whose function is to advise and assist the President, in the course of conducting activities which relate to or have an effect upon the carrying out of the constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President. Such term--
(A) includes any documentary materials relating to the political activities of the President or members of his staff, but only if such activities relate to or have a direct effect upon the carrying out of constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President; but
(B) does not include any documentary materials that are (i) official records of an agency (as defined in section 552(e) of title 5, United States Code; (ii) personal records; (iii) stocks of publications and stationery; or (iv) extra copies of documents produced only for convenience of reference, when such copies are clearly so identified.

It fascinates me, with great gravitas (regarding the critical need for the rule of law as Judge Napolitano recently and aptly remarked) that, despite the stacked evidence against the possibility of Obama's eligibility, that He is allowed to operate as Commmander in Chief only on the basis of the slightest whispering possibility of a distant and remote chance that He has any eligibility at all. His growing record includes layer upon layer of deceptive fraudulant actions and has both ommissive and commissive evidence against him. Nevertheless, the American Congress and Judiciary are submitting to a bogus Executive White House and rolling the dice on America in hopes that Obama will not get re-elected in November. Is this how slim the rule of law has become? It is now a game of dice? Doesn't the evidence reveal, based on his history, that he will do everything to steal the election? Some have said that the past is the greatest predictor of the future? Isn't America and the treasure of America's rule of law worth astonishingly more than taking this roll of the dice? I have heard so many high profile people state that the future of the US is at stake in this next election. Is America this corrupt and morally broken that it cannot stop one man who has only the slightest facade (false front) of eligibility? If I had to give and educated guess of the election results based on what I have witnessed over that last few years I would be lead to state with utter remorse and sadness "Goodbye America". After all, you cannot enter a DIGITAL IMAGE of a certified vital record copy into evidence as a self-authenticating public record because it doesn't contain the required certification statement, signature, and official raised seal required by the Rules of Evidence.

Actually, Lee claimed (if I read it correctly) that the original BC had been tampered with. That the "9's" meant "unknown" and that those fields appeared to have been filled in at a later date, such as birth father, time and date of birth, birthplace, etc.

When this issue last arose in May, the Washington Post noted that "the Hawaii Department of Health has released both the short and long forms of the president’s birth certificate; and that all this information, along with clear-as-a-bell explanations, is available to the public online."
President Obama was born in Honolulu, and his birth certificate is valid.
Regarding the latest allegations from a sheriff in Arizona, they are untrue, misinformed, and misconstrue Hawaii law. The purpose of section 338-17.8, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), is to accommodate foreign-born individuals whose parents were residents of Hawaii but were temporarily outside of this state due to employment or military service.Similar to section 338-20.5, HRS, which provides for a certificate of foreign birth, anyone who receives a birth certificate under this section would have noted on their birth certificate the PHYSICAL LOCATION of their actual birth. It does not confer citizenship, which is, of course, a power of the federal government.
We also note that section 338-17.8 was not passed until 1982, so it cannot apply to President Obama, who was born at the Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital in Honolulu in 1961,as is reflected on his certificate of live birth, a copy of which can be viewed on the White House website, a link to which is provided on DOH’s website.
Vital records in Hawaii have some of the highest levels of privacy protection in the nation. Not only are Hawaii’s vital records some of the best managed, but they also have some of the strongest restrictions on access to prevent identity theft and fraud.

The HDOH appears to be in full coverup mode. Former Hawaiian Chief Elections Clerk Tim Adams and his boss did an extensive search in Hawaiian records in 2008, including of both Kapi'olani Medical Center and Queens Medical Center, and neither hospital had a record of Obie or his mom ever being there. Adams said he had access to all sorts of records in Hawaii and no trace of a BC was found and he signed a sworn affadavit for Sheriff Arpaio stating so. Current Gov. Abercrombie also said there was no BC for Obama, just a notation in the files. Former Gov. Lingle had never seen the BC, but relied on the word of someone who reported to her, whose veracity is now in question. U.K.L.Lee is now 95 y.o. Verna K.L.Lee who said there were many blank spaces on Obie's BC and therefore "9's" (indicating "Unknown") were inserted into those spaces by her before she signed it. She said the BC had been altered at a later date to fill in certain blanks that had been left open such as birth dad, place of birth and birth date, etc. It sounds like Grandma Dunham may have filed for a BC without knowing all the details and they were filled in later on. Don't forget - the Immigration files for the first week of August 1961 were missing. The # on the BC is out of sync with those filed at registration centers used by the hospitals in question and indicates a BC registered at an outer island center.
It also sounds like the phony BC forged last year now serves as the "official" BC in HDOH files and possibly someone there is on the take or covering their butt(s).
Joshua A. Wisch, Special Assistant to the Attorney General of Hawaii needs to ask 2008 Democratic Party of Hawaii Chairman Brian Schatz and 2008 Democratic Party of Hawaii Secretary Lynn Matusow why they signed the DPH's 2008 "Official Certification Of Nomination" and submitted it to the 2008 Chief Elections Officer o Hawaii Kevin Cronin after someone intentionally deleted the certifying phrase required by Hawaii Revised Statute "under provisions of the United States Constitution" from it.
Joshua A. Wisch, Special Assistant to the Attorney General of Hawaii also needs to ask 2008 Democratic National Convention Chairperson Nancy Pelosi why she signed two different 2008 Democratic National Committee "Official Certification Of Nomination", one with the other without the aforementioned certifying phrase, and submitted the one with the aforementioned certifying phrase only to the Chief Elections Officer of Hawaii while submitting only the one without the aforementioned certifying phrase to the Chief Elections Officer of every other State.
